“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.”
We all have choices. We can choose the ways of the world or we can choose the wisdom of God. I hope everyone knows that the way of the world leads to destruction and death. But God’s wisdom leads to life eternal and blessings. There are bountiful blessings awaiting those who place their trust in the person of Jesus Christ. Sometimes worldly perspectives will deceive us and distract us from the wisdom of God. So we must be alert.
There are two words to focus on here: “delight” and “meditate” and they go together. Delight is the response of the heart and meditation involves careful thinking. Together these two make up the process of decision making. Our choices are based upon what we desire to have and what we know.
So let me ask, “Do you desire to know the wisdom of God?”
Pray for God to give you a burning desire to know His ways and His will and watch what happens!
