God Wants To Bless You

‘And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:’
Deuteronomy 28:2

When you are in good fellowship with God, you do not have to ask for His blessings, He desires to bless you! Obedience puts you in a position to receive.

Just as you may enjoy blessing someone, God delights in blessing you in ways that you wouldn’t imagine. God’s blessings are right in the midst of your everyday life.

For example, you could receive an encouraging message in the middle of a stressful day or you might receive a friendly phone call from a loved-one at the end of a long, hard day. You could check your mail and receive a card from someone who has been thinking of you or receive an unexpected sum of money just at the perfect time.

Often times, God has a way of blessing us when we least expect it. He has a way of blowing our minds. Blessings come just in the nick of time as an expression of His love for us. He reminds us that He knows what is happening in our life.

Blessings are a result of obedience to God. When you walk closely with the Lord, you obey His commands and blessings come. When you are living in obedience to God’s Word, blessings will also come to those around you.

Solomon enjoyed peace and prosperity during his reign as king, but his blessings came largely as a result of his father, David, walking closely with God. God promised Abraham that his obedience would bring blessings to all the inhabitants of the earth (Gen. 12:2-3).

We don’t need to take God’s blessings for granted. When you receive an unexpected blessing, thank God for His everlasting love and recognize the next time His blessings surprise you and overtake you!

Pray

Lord, I want to be close to You. I desire to be obedient to Your commands and submit to Your will and way. Let my obedience to You also bless someone else so that they may see Your glory.

The Power Of God

“And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭8:18

It’s a disturbing thought that someone could actually forget about where God has brought them from. But we are just like the Israelites. We need to be reminded that we cannot live without the power of God.

The Lord blesses us because He loves us. He extends an over abundance of grace and mercy even when we don’t deserve it. He shows favor and forgiveness when we haven’t earned it.

The Lord does not operate on the same scale as humans. He does not do good things for us just because we do good things for Him. Neither does he withhold good things just because we have done bad things.

God wants us to remember who He is even when we are in a season of dryness. When our life seems to appear that He has removed His blessings, He hasn’t.

If life was always rainbows and roses we would not need God and we would forget the need for God. This is what the instructions where about when Moses was telling the Israelites to never forget that He is the One who supplies our every need and blessing.

It is God who gives the abundance of everything. He should never be forgotten. God should never be viewed as a endless gift giver. He should be lifted up and honored at all times. We can never give back what He deserves.

Have you considered all that God has done for you?  Have you shown thankfulness and gratitude towards God’s everlasting love?  His love will never end and His blessings prove it.

If you think that God is not blessing you, you need to evaluate all that He has done for you and you will change your mind.

Pray

Lord, I need you every hour of the day. I depend on you for my next breath. Thank you for your endless love for me.

Are You Witnessing To Others?

“”You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:10‬

In the Bible, God’s children experienced miracles beyond imagination. They had prophets that preached warning and prophecy straight from God. What more did they need to be able to tell others how good God was to them? Other nations were jealous because God favored Israel so much.

There are countless passages of Scripture that prove God takes care of His chosen people. They are protected against their enemies and they are given gifts and blessings beyond comprehension.

Israel was God’s chosen people, a nation called to be His witnesses. They were told to proclaim the good news of God to pagan nations and to show them the need for salvation. They were to be a light to the Gentiles.

They were commanded to teach others about God and warn them that false gods and idols were useless and powerless. God established a promise and a blessing for His chosen people so others would notice how God was protecting and providing for them.

As Christians we are called to be witnesses for God. We need to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. We need to openly speak about how good God is.

We are to shine the light of Jesus into our dark, sinful world. Unbelievers need to witness what we truly have in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Is your life a witness to others? It’s not so much in what you say but in what you do. Your faith in God is proven through the choices you make everyday.

You may be faced with difficult choices today and your faith may be the deciding factor. Your faith in God will declare to others how and what you believe to be true about God. Others are watching you to see if what you believe is true.

Show the wonders of God by witnessing to others the wonderful love and grace of our amazing Father.

Pray

Lord, I need you today. Show me Your glory. Help me to be a living testimony to others. I want others to see You in me.
