So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily.
‭‭Acts‬ ‭16‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Question
Are you more focused on visible results or on being firmly established in your faith?

Context
Acts 16 records Paul’s second missionary journey as he traveled from church to church strengthening believers. The result of this was clear: the churches were “established in the faith” and “increased in number daily.” Growth was not just numerical; it was spiritual. The churches were rooted in truth before they expanded in size.

Application
In our culture, success is often measured by numbers, popularity, or visible results. Yet God’s pattern is different. He desires believers who are firmly grounded in His Word and committed to following Him. When faith is strengthened, healthy growth naturally follows. A strong foundation always precedes lasting fruit.

The same principle applies to our personal lives. Before God enlarges our influence, ministry, or opportunities, He often works to establish us in faith. Trials, study of Scripture, prayer, and obedience all deepen our roots in Christ. When our faith is secure, we are better prepared to withstand challenges and bear fruit for His kingdom.

Truth For The Day
God’s greatest work in us is often strengthening our faith before increasing our influence.

Pray
Lord, help me to be firmly grounded in Your Word and faithful in my walk with You. Strengthen my faith through every circumstance and make me a fruitful servant for Your kingdom. Use my life to encourage others and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
