being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
Philippians 1:6 NKJV
Question
Are you trusting God’s faithful work in your life, or are you relying on your own strength to become who He has called you to be?
Context
The believers in Philippi were growing in their faith, yet they were not perfect. Paul reminded them that their confidence was not in their own ability to mature, but in God’s faithfulness to complete His work in them.
Application
Salvation is more than a single moment, it is the beginning of a lifelong work of transformation. The same God who called you by His grace is the God who is shaping your heart, renewing your mind, and making you more like Christ every day. There will be seasons of victory and seasons of challenges, but neither changes God’s commitment to His children. He never abandons what He has begun.
Perhaps today you may feel like you’re not growing fast enough. Maybe you’ve stumbled, grown weary, or become frustrated with your weaknesses. Remember that God’s work in your life is not finished yet. His grace is still at work.
Truth For The Day
The One who saved you is faithfully transforming you until the day you stand complete in Christ.
Pray
Lord, thank You for never giving up on me. Even when I grow discouraged, remind me that You are still at work in my life. Help me trust Your timing, follow Your Spirit, and rest in the confidence that You will finish what You have started. Continue shaping me into Your image for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
