For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
‭‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭36‬

In this single verse, the apostle Paul expresses the scope of God’s reign over all creation. It serves as a beautiful reminder of our place in God’s grand design and calls us to respond with awe, reverence, and adoration.

This verse affirms that everything originates from God, finds its sustenance in Him, and ultimately returns to Him. Every aspect of creation, every event in history, every moment of our lives is under His sovereign control and authority. Nothing exists apart from Him, and nothing happens outside of His divine purpose.

As we meditate on this truth, we are invited to surrender ourselves to the sovereign will of God. We are reminded that our lives are not our own but belong to the One who created us and sustains us. In times of uncertainty and difficulty, we can take comfort in knowing that God is in control and that He works all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

Recognizing that all things are from Him and through Him leads us to respond with gratitude and praise. Every blessing we receive, every provision we enjoy, is a gift from the hand of our Heavenly Father. In moments of joy and abundance, may we lift our voices in thanksgiving, acknowledging the source of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17).

As we contemplate that all things are to Him, we are reminded of our ultimate purpose: to bring glory to God.

Lord, I am in awe of Your sovereignty and majesty, for of You and through You and to You are all things. Help me to surrender to Your will and to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. May I bring glory to Your name, as I acknowledge You as the source and sustainer of all things. In Jesus’ name, amen.

And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭22‬-‭23‬

In these verses, Paul reminds us of Christ’s supremacy and His role as the head of the Church, which is His body. The imagery is powerful – Christ’s authority extends over all things, and the Church is intimately connected to Him as the fullness of His presence.

Just as the body relies on the head for direction and knowledge, we, as believers, find our completeness and fullness in Christ. Recognize that in Him, we are part of something much greater, and our purpose is intricately tied to His divine plan.

As members of the Church, let us submit to Christ’s authority in every aspect of our lives. Seek His guidance, follow His teachings, and align your actions with His will. Remember that as part of His body, your role is significant in fulfilling His purpose on earth. Embrace the unity and interconnectedness within the body of believers, recognizing that together, we manifest the fullness of Christ.

Lord, thank You for being the head of the Church and for the privilege of being part of Your body. Help me to submit to Your authority in all aspects of my life. May I find my completeness in You and work together with fellow believers to manifest Your fullness on earth. Guide and direct us as we seek to fulfill Your divine plan. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.
‭‭Acts‬ ‭9‬:‭31

In Acts 9:31, we find the early Christian communities experiencing a season of peace, edification, and growth. This verse describes a time of spiritual flourishing and harmony among believers in the early church. 

Saul’s transformation from a persecutor of Christians to a follower of Christ was a factor of change. This pivotal moment not only marked the change in Saul’s life but also contributed to the overall well-being and growth of the Christian communities. The fear of the Lord, a deep reverence and awe for God’s authority, and the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit played crucial roles in fostering this positive environment.

Aa believers, we are to seek a balance between a reverent fear of the Lord and the comforting guidance of the Holy Spirit. It encourages us to actively contribute to the peace and edification of our spiritual communities. The fear of the Lord is not about dread but a deep respect and acknowledgment of God’s sovereignty. The comfort of the Holy Spirit empowers us to navigate challenges and uncertainties with confidence.

As we walk in the footsteps of those early believers, let us prioritize unity, the fear of the Lord, and the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and communities. By doing so, we participate in the multiplication and growth of God’s kingdom.

Lord, may the fear of You guide my steps, and may the comfort of the Holy Spirit be my constant companion. Let my life contribute to the peace and edification of those around me. In times of growth and challenges, may Your presence be multiplied in my heart and in the communities I’m a part of. In Jesus’ name, amen.
