Moreover He said to me: “Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.“
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬

God commissioned the prophet Ezekiel to deliver His messages to the rebellious Israelites. Today’s verse underscores the weighty responsibility placed on Ezekiel to faithfully receive and proclaim God’s words. It emphasizes the importance of internalizing God’s message before sharing it with others.

We are challenged as well to consider the weight of responsibility in receiving and sharing God’s truth. It reminds us that before we can effectively convey God’s message to others, we must first receive His words into our hearts. This process begins with having a passion and conviction for God’s Word.

In order to be intentional about receiving God’s words into our hearts, we must spend time in prayer, meditating and studying the Scriptures, as well as seeking to understand God’s message personally. Let God’s word penetrate your heart first and watch what happens to those around you.

Pray

Lord, help me to receive Your words into my heart. Grant me the wisdom to understand and apply Your truth in my life today. Let my ears be attentive to Your voice and my heart be shaped by Your Word. Use me as a vessel to share Your message with passion and conviction. In Jesus’ name, amen.

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59‬:‭2‬

The prophet Isaiah addresses the people’s sins and the consequences of their actions. This verse highlights the impact of sin on the relationship between God and His people. Sin creates a separation, hindering communication and intimacy with the Creator.

Let’s be reminded of the consequences of our sin. It should cause us to reflect on our lives and acknowledge areas where we may have drifted away from God. The verse also points to the importance of seeking forgiveness and restoration to experience the fullness of God’s presence.

Take a moment for some self-reflection. Identify areas of disobedience, seeking God’s forgiveness and mercy. Repentance is the key to removing the barriers that hinder our communion with God. As we address the separation caused by sin, we open the way for a renewed and vibrant relationship with Him.

Pray

Lord, reveal to me any areas of sin that has separated me from You. Grant me the humility to repent and seek Your forgiveness. Let my heart be cleansed. I long for a deeper connection with Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭18‬

In Ephesians 2, Paul emphasizes the work of Christ in reconciling both Jews and Gentiles to God. This verse underscores the profound truth that, through Jesus Christ, believers have direct access to the Father by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It speaks of unity, reconciliation, and the privilege of approaching God with confidence.

This verse highlights the incredible reality that, through Jesus Christ, we have access to the Father. Our access is not based on our merits or efforts but is granted through the unifying work of the Holy Spirit. This access brings with it the privilege of communion, intimacy, and relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Take time daily to approach God in prayer, gratitude, and worship. Recognize the significance of this access, allowing it to deepen your relationship with Him. May the understanding of this divine privilege shape your perspective, actions, and the way you interact with others.

Pray

Lord, thank You for giving me access to the Father. Help me to fully grasp the depth of this privilege. May my heart be drawn into closer communion with You, and may my life reflect the transformative power of this access in my relationship with others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
