Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬

Question
Are you living like a slave trying to earn God’s approval, or like a child resting in the Father’s love?

Context
In Galatians 4, Paul reminds the church that before Christ, humanity was in spiritual bondage and slaves to the law and to sin. But God had a plan. At the right time, He sent Jesus to redeem us, not just to free us from slavery, but to make us family. Through faith in Christ, we move from being servants to sons and daughters of the living God.

Application
Many people still live as if they are slaves bound by guilt, fear, and performance. We try to earn God’s favor or prove our worth through religious effort. But Paul declares that through Jesus, we’ve been adopted. You don’t have to earn the love of a Father who already calls you His child. You have access to His presence, His peace, and His promises because you belong to Him.

Let this truth sink in: you are no longer a slave to sin, fear, or the past. You are a child of God and an heir to His kingdom. Walk today not in fear, but in freedom.

Truth Of The Day
I am no longer a slave. I am a child of God, fully loved, fully accepted, and free.

Pray
Lord, thank You for adopting me into Your family. Help me to walk in the freedom You’ve given me, no longer bound by fear or guilt. Remind me daily that I am Your child and that nothing can separate me from Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Then the Pharisees again questioned the man who had been blind and demanded, “What’s your opinion about this man (Jesus) who healed you?” The man replied, “I think he must be a prophet.”
‭‭John‬ ‭9‬:‭17‬

Question
How has my understanding of who Jesus is grown through what He has done in my life?

Context
In John 9, Jesus healed a man who had been blind from birth. The religious leaders were unsettled by this miracle, especially since it happened on the Sabbath. They questioned the man repeatedly, demanding an explanation. At first, all the man knew was simple: “I was blind, but now I see.” When pressed further, he declared, “He is a prophet.” This growing confession shows how his understanding of Jesus deepened through experience.

Application
This man’s testimony started small, but it was powerful. He didn’t have all the theological answers, but he had a story. Sometimes, we hesitate to share our faith because we feel unqualified or don’t have all the right words. But like the healed man, our testimony is enough as it points people to the reality of Jesus’ power in our lives. Over time, our understanding of Christ deepens, just as this man eventually came to confess Jesus as Lord.

Truth For The Day
What Jesus has done in my life is a powerful testimony of who He is.

Pray
Lord, thank You for opening my eyes to see You more clearly each day. Help me to boldly share what You have done in my life, even if my words are simple. May my testimony always point others to Your power and truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.
‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭39‬

Question
Am I focusing more on my storm or on the Savior who is with me?

Context
Jesus’ disciples feared for their lives as a storm raged, but Jesus calmed the wind and waves with a word, revealing His power over creation. By calming the storm, Jesus shows He is more than a teacher; He is God in the flesh.

Application
Peace is not found in the absence of storms but in the presence of Jesus. Just as He calmed the sea, He is able to bring peace into the chaos of our circumstances. Fear doesn’t have the final word. True peace doesn’t come from calm circumstances, but from knowing the One who rules over them.

Truth For The Day
Jesus is greater than every storm in my life.

Pray
Lord, calm the storms within my heart today. Help me fix my eyes on You, knowing You are in control of every wave. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
