“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”
Luke 16:10 NKJV
Question
Are you waiting for something big while neglecting the small things God has already placed in front of you?
Context
In Luke 16, Jesus taught about stewardship and integrity. He emphasized that faithfulness in small responsibilities reveals the condition of our heart and prepares us for greater trust.
Application
We often look for the big moments like the breakthroughs, opportunities, and success. We pray for doors to open and for God to do something significant in our lives. But many times, God is not looking at what we’re doing, He’s looking at our faithfulness in it.
Small things matter more than we think. It’s in the quiet disciplines that God shapes our character. It’s easy to overlook the everyday moments, but those are the very places where trust is built between us and God.
Before David stood before Goliath, he was faithful in the field. Before the disciples were sent out, they followed closely in the ordinary. God often prepares us in private before He promotes us in public.
If you feel like what you’re doing is small or unnoticed, don’t grow weary. God sees it all. Stay steady. Stay committed. Stay faithful. Because what you do in the small things is preparing you for what God has next.
Truth For The Day
God measures faithfulness, not size.
Pray
Lord, help me to be faithful in the small things. Give me a heart that honors You in the unseen moments and the everyday responsibilities. Teach me to trust that You are working, even when it feels small. Prepare me for what You have ahead. In Jesus’ name, amen.
