You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭7‬

Question
What would change in your life if you saw giving not as a duty, but as an act of worship and trust?

Context
Paul reminded the Corinthians that giving should be purposeful, personal, and joyful. He encourages the church to give generously and willingly as they prepare to send an offering to help the struggling Christians in Jerusalem. He reminds them that giving should come from the heart, not out of pressure or obligation because God values the attitude behind the gift more than the amount. True Christian giving is an act of love, faith, and gratitude, reflecting God’s own generosity toward us.

Application
When we give, we mirror the very nature of God Himself. From the beginning of time, God has been a giver. He gave us life, creation, daily provision, and most importantly, His Son, Jesus Christ. The act of giving transforms us because it breaks the grip of greed and selfishness. It reminds us that everything we have belongs to God, and we are simply stewards. Generosity shifts our focus from what we lack to how much we’ve been given.

Truth For The Day
We don’t give because we have to; we give because we get to.

Pray
Lord, thank You for being the ultimate Giver. You have blessed me with more than I deserve. Teach me to give freely, cheerfully, and from a heart of gratitude. Help me to trust that what I place in Your hands will accomplish more than what I could ever do on my own. Let my generosity reflect Your love to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭32‬

Question
Is there someone you’re still holding in your heart because of something they did or didn’t do?

Context
The Apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Ephesus to help them understand how to live out their new identity in Christ. In Ephesians 4, he contrasts the old life marked by anger, bitterness, lies, and selfishness with the new life that reflects God’s character. Verse 32 serves as the capstone of this teaching. Paul connects forgiveness directly to the gospel “just as in Christ God forgave you.” In other words, we don’t forgive to earn God’s favor; we forgive because we already have it. Our forgiveness toward others is evidence that God’s forgiveness has taken root in our hearts.

Application
Ask God to reveal any resentment or bitterness that may still linger. Choose today to forgive not because they earned it, but because you’re choosing to live free. Pray for those who hurt you. It may be hard, but praying for them softens your heart and aligns it with God’s love. Forgiveness is one of the most beautiful characteristics of God that can be displayed in our life.

Truth For The Day
Forgiveness is not about what they deserve; it’s about reflecting the grace that God freely gave you.

Pray
Lord, thank You for the forgiveness I’ve received. Help me to let go of bitterness and resentment. Teach me to forgive as You have forgiven me with grace, mercy, and love. Heal the wounds in my heart and replace them with Your peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬

Question
What would your day look like if your peace was not determined by circumstances, but by trusting in God?

Context
Isaiah wrote these words during a time of uncertainty and turmoil for Israel. The nation faced enemies on every side and many were tempted to put their trust in political alliances rather than in God. Yet Isaiah reminds the people that peace doesn’t come from safety, strength, or strategy, it comes from steadfast trust in the Lord. True peace is not the absence of problems, but the presence of God in the midst of them.

Application
Our minds often race with worry, fear and what-ifs. But peace is a promise we can experience when we intentionally fix our thoughts on God’s faithfulness. When you start to feel anxious, pause and remind yourself: God is still in control.

Trust is not a feeling; it’s a decision to rest your heart in God’s hands even when you don’t see the outcome.

Truth for the Day
Perfect peace is found in a steadfast mind and a trusting heart.

Pray
Lord, thank You for being my source of peace in a restless world. Teach me to keep my mind fixed on You and not on my worries. Help me to trust You with what I cannot control, and let Your peace guard my heart and mind today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
