Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭5‬

Question
What are you still holding onto that God is asking you to commit to Him?

Context
Psalm 37 is written by David, addressing a common struggle among God’s people: Why do the wicked seem to prosper while the righteous struggle? David contrasts two ways of living, trusting God versus fretting over evildoers.

Psalm 37:5 sits in a section where David urges believers to respond to injustice and uncertainty with trust, patience, and surrender. “Commit your way to the Lord” is a call to place one’s plans, decisions, and future into God’s care. The promise “He shall bring it to pass” reassures the faithful that God is actively working on behalf of those who trust Him.

Application
Most days we don’t struggle with doing, we struggle with letting go. We plan, carry, worry, and replay scenarios in our minds, hoping control will bring peace. But Scripture offers a better way: commit your way to the Lord.

Committing your way doesn’t mean you stop caring; it means you stop being anxious. When you place your path in God’s hands, you free your heart to walk in obedience and peace. Today, let trust replace tension and faith replace fear.

Truth For The Day
When you place your way in God’s hands, you can trust Him to move on your behalf.

Pray
Lord, I commit my way to You today. All of my plans, my decisions, and my concerns I commit to You. Help me trust You fully and wait confidently for You to act. I choose faith over fear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
