The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭126‬:‭3‬

Question
What “ordinary” blessing in your life do you need to see with fresh gratitude today?

Context
In Psalm 126, the people of Israel looked back on God’s faithfulness with awe. They remembered how He restored them, how He delivered them, how He worked beyond what they could have expected. Their response wasn’t simply to acknowledge what He had done, but to let joy rise in their hearts.

Application
Thanksgiving Day reminds us to be grateful, but the days after Thanksgiving test whether gratitude becomes a lifestyle. The real question is not “Were you thankful on Thursday?” but “Are you thankful today on an ordinary Saturday?” Gratitude becomes powerful when it is carried into the routine like doing chores, running errands, planning the week ahead, or simply sitting with the Lord in stillness.

Today is a perfect day to pause and reflect on the everyday blessings of God such as the strength for your body, breath in your lungs, people you love, opportunities ahead, forgiveness behind you, and His presence with you right now. The Lord has indeed done great things for you. Let joy fill your heart again, not because it’s Thanksgiving weekend, but because He is always faithful.

Truth For The Day
Gratitude is not just an event; it is a posture that brings joy into the ordinary moments of life.

Pray
Lord, thank You for Your goodness that follows me beyond the holiday and into every part of my life. Open my eyes today to see Your blessings in the ordinary moments. Fill my heart with joy as I remember all You have done and all You continue to do. Help me walk in a spirit of gratitude that honors You every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
